Invoices and Billing Notifications Lifecycle

To build your invoice listing, follow this general invoice lifecycle:

  1. Ensure you've prepared customer notifications template, email template, invoice template, and dunning notices template and have provided these to Vindicia Client Services.
  2. Make sure you have scheduled all billing events that you require. For more details, see the Working with Invoices chapter of the Subscribe Programming Guide
  3. Make sure to select the relevant Invoice Format and Template when creating a new subscription using the Merchant Accepted Payment, Payment Method.
  4. For bookkeeping records or to resend to your customer upon request, you can access a PDF version of the invoice from the Subscribe Portal at any time. For more details, see Working with Invoices.
  5. Allow customers to associate a payment made to the invoice from your self-care kiosk (and send through API) or via your customer service representatives using Subscribe Portal
  6. Monitor your outstanding Invoices aging using the Invoice Aging by Invoice Date Report and the Invoice Aging by Due Date Report available as part of the Insights menu.
  7. Monitor you expected revenue from invoices in this period and beyond using the Invoice-based Revenue Recognition Report and the General Ledger Extract Report available as part of the Insights menu.
  8. If you believe an invoice debt can't be collected, write off the invoice from the Subscribe Portal.
