Products
Subscribe product is your offering — whether it’s a tangible product or a service. The product is sold online by you, the online merchant.
In Subscribe, flexibility is key. The product building block allows flexible configuration covering most product options while also minimizing the product catalog by supporting multiple definitions for one product such as multiple languages, currencies, and pricing.
The product page is where you define:
- The Pricing: Subscribe let's you define fixed pricing in multiple currencies or in virtual currencies such as loyalty rewards, called Tokens. Alternatively offer a usage-based pricing strategy for the product called a Rate Plan. When the product is sold as part of a subscription, the price offered is based on the locale and relevant currency of the subscriber.
- Product details: General details relevant to the product such as when is the product available and for how long, when does it become active, its name, and its tax category.
- A description of the product: The product description can be entered in multiple languages. This same description can then be used in your online store, email notifications or billing statements.
- Product Entitlement Access rights: Define the access code you provide in the product. In subscribe, this is called Product Entitlement.
- Category and Custom Data: Custom data lets you store merchant-specific data to the product to be used to sort or categorize the specific product.
- Billing frequency: This is optional info suggesting the Billing Plan (billing schedule) that is best to use with the product. This is not necessarily the billing plan that will be used as part of a subscription involving this product.
- Token Grants: Subscribe Tokens are virtual currency you define such as loyalty rewards or flyer miles. You can decide to give tokens to your customers for buying the product and define the amount of tokens to grant for the purchase.
Subscribe lets you create products from scratch. It also offers a time-cutting capability of duplicating existing products and using them as your template. Change the relevant parameters and unique codes and IDs for a quick turnaround of the product.
