Season Set

Season Sets allow you to bill and provide active entitlements during a defined time-frame (a sport's or TV content season), and not at other times of the year. When a Season Set is associated to a billing plan, the billing will only occur during the seasons. A Season Set is basically a list of seasons. Entitlements, by default, will also be for the seasons, although you can extend them before and after a season, or have them active continuously throughout the year. Season Sets associated with billing plans effectively allow you to separate the timing of a subscription payment schedule from the Entitlements the subscription activates.

Each Season is simply a Description, Start and End Date and Season Sets are a collection of sequential Seasons. To enable Seasonal Billing Plans, you must first create Season Sets, which may then be applied to the Billing Periods.

To keep a list of Season Sets, you can export the Season Sets to a csv file. Click the Download button and select whether to download the current displayed results only (by default, 10 to a page) or the full result list.

Example:

For a September to February football season, you would create a season set for that period. You would then create a billing plan with the season set associated (September to February) that bills twice, in September and October, but grants Entitlements for the entirety of the football season, September to February. If you wanted to extend entitlements to include the pre-season and post-season, you could start the entitlements a month (or more) before the season begins, and extend them a month (or more) after the season.

Since the Season Set is a list of seasons. You can rebill the subscription for the next season simply by adding another season (subsequent September to December) to the Season Set without having to recreate the subscription.
