Transaction Failure Detail

This report provides Transaction details for failed Transactions for the selected time period. It includes details about Product, Account ID, Tax, and Totals. You can tailor the report to show only the transactions you wish to see by using the additional filters.

To generate a one time report:

  1. Enter the date range
  2. Optional. Enter an Email address where you'd like to receive notifications when the report is available. Only a single email address can be entered.
  3. Optional. Enter the relevant filter parameters. Select from the following:
    • Currency
    • Account
    • Affiliate ID or Sub-Affiliate ID
    • Payment Method
    • Product ID
    • Country
  4. Expand Display Columns and select the columns you would like to include in the report. See the list of columns in table below.
  5. Click Submit. View the report in the My Reports page.

To generate a recurring report:

  1. Toggle Recurring toggle to Yes.
  2. Select a date for the first reporting period. The same date format will be used for future scheduled reports
    Note: Reports display data occurring starting from the defined date. For example, a monthly report starting on March 1st displays data for the month of March up to March 31st.
  3. Select the report's Frequency. Choose between Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly.
  4. Optional. Enter an Email address where you'd like to receive notifications when the report is available. Only a single email address can be entered.
  5. Optional. If you want to receive the report uploaded to an SFTP Server, enable this option and provide the required details.
  6. Optional. Enter the relevant filter parameters. Select from the following:
    • Currency
    • Account
    • Affiliate ID or Sub-Affiliate ID
    • Payment Method
    • Product ID
    • Country
  7. Optional. Expand Display Columns and select the columns you would like to include in the report. See the list of columns in table below.
  8. Click Submit. View the report in the My Reports page.

Account NameThe Subscriber's Customer’s name.
Affiliate IDAffiliate from the customer's Subscription, or as specified in the Transaction.
Sub-Affiliate IDSub-Affiliate from the customer's Subscription, or as specified in the Transaction.
Product IDProduct ID from the customer's Subscription, or as specified in the Transaction. If the Transaction is not generated from a Subscription and the Product is not defined in Subscribe, this field will not be populated.
Product NameProduct Description from the customer's Subscription, or as specified in the Transaction. If the Transaction is not generated from an Subscription and the Product is not defined in Subscribe, this field will not be populated.
Billing Plan IDID of the Billing Plan associated with the Subscription that generated the Transaction. If the Transaction is not generated from an Subscription (i.e., generated by a one-time Transaction) this field will not be populated.
Payment ProcessorThe processor through which the Transaction was submitted for payment.
Division IDSub-division of the merchant ID by which some payment processors report or settle funds.
Payment Method

The payment method used to finance the Transaction. Valid types include:

Payment Method TypeCustomer-defined Payment Method type (for example cash, check).
Transaction Status

Transaction Status from the payment processor reason code.

  • Canceled: the transaction was canceled.
  • Authorized: the transaction has been authorized, but not yet captured.
  • Captured: the transaction was successfully captured.
Auth Response CodeThe Response Code returned by your Payment Processor.
Transaction IDID of the Transaction sent to the payment processor.
Processor IDThe name Vindicia uses to identify a Subscribe Transaction to the associated payment processor. This is usually the Subscribe Transaction ID. In some cases however, due to the format requirements of some payment processors, Subscribe alters the Transaction name before sending it to the processor. In those cases, the name of a transaction in a report by the payment processor will differ from the name of the same transaction in a report by Vindicia. This enables you to reconcile the original Subscribe Transaction name with the altered Transaction name Subscribe sends to the payment processor, to identify the Transaction.
Transaction TimestampTime the Transaction was processed.
Pre TaxAmount before tax.
TaxTax calculated.
Tax not collectedIndicate if tax is not collected due to unavailability of the tax service at the time of the Transaction. For details, see “Handling ‘Tax Not Available’ Scenarios” in Appendix B of the Subscribe Programming Guide. To enable this Merchant Option, contact Vindicia Client Technical Support.
Total BilledAmount plus Tax.
CurrencyThe Currency or Token type used for the Transaction.
Subscription CycleThe sequence number in the life of the Subscription for which this transaction charges. As this index begins with 0 for the initial billing cycle of an Subscription, it can also be considered the renewal count—that is, 1 is the first renewal, 3 is the third renewal, and so on.
Billing Plan CycleThe sequence number in the life of the Subscription, since the last Billing Plan change, for which this transaction charges. If there has been no billing plan change for this Subscription, this number will be the same as the Subscription Cycle.
Retry NumberThe sequence number indicating which retry attempt this transaction represents for the billing period it represents. This index begins with 0 for the initial attempt to charge for a particular billing. A value of 1 indicates the first retry, 3 indicates the third retry, and so on. For one-time transactions this value is null.
Invoice DateThe date the Invoice was generated.
Total Invoice AmountThe Total amount due on invoice
NoteThe note listed for the Transaction.
AddressCustomer’s billing address.
CityCustomer’s billing city.
State/DistrictCustomer’s billing state or district.
CountryCustomer’s billing country.
